Space tech is an emerging sector with growing commercial and strategic relevance. Advances in launch technology, satellite miniaturization and data infrastructure have significantly lowered the barriers to entry and enabled a wave of private innovation. Applications range from Earth observation and global connectivity to navigation and climate monitoring. As space becomes more accessible, it is evolving into a key enabler across industries including agriculture, logistics, defense and communications, making it an increasingly attractive area for long-term investment and technological development.

1. Veloquence Capital (USA)

Veloquence Capital is a Los Angeles-based venture capital firm founded in 2019, focusing on early-stage investments in sectors such as health & wellness, emerging technologies, financial technology, and space technology. The firm supports visionary entrepreneurs aiming to create global impact through tech-enabled solutions that address systemic challenges. One of their prominent portfolio companies is Relativity Space, a aerospace manufacturer that utilizes 3D printing and artificial intelligence to produce orbital launch vehicles. Relativity Space aims to revolutionize rocket manufacturing by reducing part counts and enabling rapid production cycles.

2. Karista (France)

The early-stage venture capital firm Karista, primarily invests in Health, Digital, Tech, and NewSpace sectors. With over two decades of experience, Karista has supported more than 100 companies from inception to success. The firm offers initial investments ranging from €500,000 to €2.5 million, primarily focusing on seed and Series A stages, and continues to invest up to €6 million in follow-on rounds. In the NewSpace sector, Karista has made several notable investments in recent years. In 2023, the firm invested in Constellr, a German startup developing a space-based water and carbon monitoring system aimed at safeguarding global food supply and combating global warming. That same year, the VC firm also backed Look Up Space, a France-based company providing real-time data collection and services for space situational awareness and sustainability, serving governments, institutions, agencies, and commercial players.

3. Elevation Capital (India)

Elevation Capital is a prominent early-stage venture capital firm based in India, formerly known as SAIF Partners. With a focus on sectors such as Consumer Tech, Fintech, SaaS, and Frontier Tech, Elevation has been instrumental in nurturing startups that have become household names, including Swiggy, Meesho, Paytm, and Unacademy. In recent years, Elevation Capital has shown a growing interest in India’s burgeoning space technology sector. In January 2024, the firm invested in PierSight, an startup founded by ex-ISRO scientist Gaurav Seth and engineer Vinit Bansal. PierSight is developing synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellites capable of providing high-frequency, all-weather ocean surveillance, with applications spanning maritime security, shipping, and environmental monitoring.
