We produced a list of private equity investors who reference renewables-related terms on their website using the mentioned database and our keyword crawler. The list, which is available as an Excel file, is suited for contacting the most relevant investors in the sector in question.
By investing 6 Billion € in renewable energy in 2021, the French government aims to raise support for renewables by 25%. The country’s energy mix is to be further diversified, and by 2028, installed renewable electricity capacity will have doubled to 113 GW.
In this article, we are introducing three interesting renewables-focused private equity funds from our keyword crawler-based renewables private equity investors list.
1. Rive Private Investment (Paris)
Headquartered in Paris the private equity company Rive Private Investment invested 2 Billion € in around 100 transactions to date. Rive is considered a pioneer in the field of sustainable infrastructure and energy transition. Recently in June 2023, the company completed the closing of a mezzanine facility to support Green Energy 3000, a German Independent Power Producer specialized in renewable energy. The mentioned mezzanine facility and the 2021-built solar park will produce the electricity consumption of 9.870 households.
2. Swen Capital Partners (Paris)
Swen Capital Partners is a private equity investor considered a recognized player in sustainable investments in private equity. The investment firm manages more than 5.6 Billion € worth of assets. The importance of the renewables sector is highlighted by various transactions of Swen Capital Partners. Such as the Portuguese renewable gas producer and retailer Rega Energy completed a 17-million fundraising round supported by sustainable fund SWEN Capital Partners and Elyse Energy. The mentioned financial support is supposed to accelerate the development of biomethane and hydrogen industrial activity in Portugal.
3. Antin Infrastructure Partners (Paris)
Antin Infrastructure Partners, headquartered in the capital of France, is known as leading leading independent private equity firm focusing on infrastructure investments. The company aligns its forces on energy and environment, digital, transportation, and social sectors. To drive forward the sustainable transition Antin created Antin Solar Investments a platform for investments in the solar photovoltaic sector in Italy. The solar plants located in several Italian cities currently total 77.2 MW.
