List of healthcare private equity funds from the Netherlands [2023]

With an overall score of 62.99, the Dutch healthcare system is ranked second in the 2021 World Index of Healthcare Innovation.
In this article, we are introducing three interesting healthcare-focused private equity funds from our keyword crawler-based healthcare private equity investors list.

1. Gilde Healthcare (Utrecht)

Gilde Healthcare is a private equity firm directing its forces to investments in European healthcare providers, suppliers of medical products, and service providers to the healthcare sector. Among these investments are companies like Symeres, Klifo, and Pharmaline. The aforementioned Pharmaline is considered a specialist in producing unlicensed pharmacy goods. Gilde funded Pharmaline’s commercial growth through investments. By the end of 2013, the company had expanded quickly to service roughly 20% of all public pharmacies in the Netherlands.

2. Holland Capital (Amsterdam)

The 1981-founded private equity company Holland Capital focuses on goods and innovations that significantly improve customers’ lives in terms of effectiveness, productivity, or strategic enablement. Core sectors of the investments and acquisitions of Holland Capital are healthcare services, medical devices, diagnostics, and digital health. Just recently in August 2023 Holland Capital invested in Lopital, a prominent player in the Dutch market offering cutting-edge mobility and hygiene solutions.

3. Ice Lake Capital (Amsterdam)

Ice Lake Capital is an investment firm founded by experienced private equity professionals. Today the goal of the company is to provide support, especially in the fields of growth strategies, such as buy & builds and international expansion. Among several investments in various sectors, Ice Lake puts its focus also on healthcare businesses. For example in 2022 the firm completed an investment in P&R Medical, a Belgian company providing an innovative contrast media administering device proven to be the safest for intravenous contrast injection.
